I’ve had several requests from people to explain how I work in Illustrator, so I decided it was high time to try writing my first tutorial. It was a lot more work than I thought it would be — trying to describe what I’m doing while I’m doing it is surprisingly difficult for me. I think it’s a right brain/left brain thing — my left brain is trying to write down clear directions while my right brain just wants to make a pretty picture, and both sides have to stop and try to figure things out. Still, I had a good time doing it, and I hope it proves helpful to others starting out with this fantastic program.
