A look at painting mountains, using photographic reference
Painting mountains - One approach.
Basically, the approach I took here was to
1) Get reference.
2) Observe this reference, note particulars about it, i.e. colours, characteristics of the environments, atmospheric haze etc. etc.
3) Start building the image.
